Join us on Wednesday, April 29 for our Apaakozige Traditional Tobacco Workshop! Learn about apaakozigan (sacred tobacco) and its various traditional uses, and practice making apaakozigan from red willow! The workshop will be led by Deb Smith, member of the Red Lake Nation. Deb has previously worked in sacred tobacco advocacy at Fond du Lac and with the American Lung Association.
Supplies and dinner will be provided! We will have red willow on hand for everyone who attends, but you are welcome to harvest and bring your own if desired!
Please register by 5pm on April 27. Registering will help us know how much supplies to have available.
