Walter is the only marimba/vibraphone artist to win first prize in the Concert Artists Guild Competition in New York City. He has performed more than 350 solo recitals and concerti in 40 states, Canada, Brazil and eight European countries.
The performance will feature original compositions by Walter and UW-Superior Professor of Percussion Brett Jones, including the world premiere of their arrangement of Debussy’s famous Passepied from Suite Bergamasque. Walter will also perform with UW‑Superior bass instructor Vincent Osborne.
