Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration

The event will feature performances by the Superior School District drum group, a dance exhibition by UW-Superior students and the Lac Courte Oreilles Dance Troupe. Following the celebration, attendees are invited to participate in a game of traditional lacrosse. This family-friendly event is free and open to the community.

Creative Club at the MRC

Introducing Creative Club, a program designed to create a safe and inclusive space for students to meet, share ideas, and build community. League of Women Voters: School Funding Ballot Questions

Duluth voters will have several school-funding questions to consider when they cast their ballots in the Nov. 3 general election. The League of Women Voters of Duluth will offer voters an opportunity to learn more about the issues at its upcoming Perspectives program. Duluth Public Schools Superintendent John Magas will explain the two-question operating levy referendum being presented to voters in the Duluth Public Schools district. The referendum asks voters to consider additional operating revenue for the school district. He will also discuss a proposed amendment to the Minnesota Constitution concerning the Permanent School Fund.

Hayward No Kings Rally

The public is invited to join a rally in Hayward urging people to vote early in the November General Election. Organizers invite people to bring signs saying “Vote early!” Or simply “Vote!” Early voting starts October 20 in Wisconsin. The rally is part of the No Kings National Day of Action and is sponsored by Up North Engaged. Rally organizers will provide information about candidates running in the November General Election, as well as voter registration information. In addition, organizers will collect funds and non-perishable food items for the LCO Food Pantry. Participants are asked to stay on the sidewalk, and stay peaceful.
