Film: From Selma to Stonewall: Are We There Yet?

Duluth Superior Pride is hosting a screening of “From Selma to Stonewall: Are We There Yet?” to mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and to inspire new activists to get involved in the present day interweave of justice issues. A group discussion will be held after the screening.

Counterglow Poetry Reading by Patricia Killelea

Xicana Irish-American poet Patricia Killelea reads from her recent publication Counterglow. From astronomy, counterglow is a faint light in the dark sky made of interplanetary dust. Patricia’s poems speak from darkness, seeking some kind of brightness to cling to. Alongside her will be readings from Adeline Wright, Karl Schroeder, and Allen Killian-Moore.

DS Pride organized a group art exhibition with works from local artists: Eric Horn, Amy Hayes, Joe Sawle, Rachel Sipress, Bill Shipley, Max Brunner, Melissa Gerads, Shannon O’Nabigon, Jon Burke, and Warrior Printress (Stacie Renne/Janelle Miller). The Reception will have appetizers available courtesy of Zeitgeist, an ongoing DS Pride sponsor.
