Plein Air Autumn Workshop with Matt Kania

This is a half day (3-hour) workshop for plein air painters wishing to learn a confident approach to outdoor landscape painting in Autumn. Matt will demonstrate and provide one-on-one guidance toward painting a scene with fall colors. Bring your own painting supplies—the session is geared towards oil painting, but gouache or watercolor welcome.

Duluth Shape Note Singers All Day Singing

An all-day shape note singing event at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth on Saturday, October 10th from 10am to 3pm. Shape Note Music is an early American folk music tradition. A form of hymn singing in four-part harmony, it is sung unaccompanied and with great feeling. This all day event is free and open to the public. Modest freewill donations are welcome. Everyone is welcome.
