Lake Superior Estuarium OPEN

Summer Open Hours! The Lake Superior Estuarium is a gateway to the headwaters of the Great Lakes. Beautiful interactive displays tell stories of the St. Louis River Estuary, Lake Superior, and the communities on their shores. The exhibit hall includes a play area for young children, maps to orient you to the largest estuary on Lake Superior, and information to help you get out and explore.

Summer Solstice Celebration & Market

We are holding our first annual Summer Solstice Celebration! We are hosting this event to recognize and celebrate our diverse artistic community, and welcome in Summer! Thank you for making our Northland area a more beautiful place! We will have a variety of activities including local demonstrations, performances, live music, local handmade crafts, food & and a special beer release!

Barks, Barrels & Buckles

The Humane Society of Douglas County, Inc. and the Free Spirit Riders Saddle Club are proud to present the first ever Barks, Barrels & Buckles Horse Show, a fundraising event for HSDC. Registration opens at 1 p.m. followed by exhibitions with the main event starting at 3 p.m. Open to riders of all ages entry fees apply.
