Himmeli: Zoom Workshop with Mary Erickson and Alison Aune

Himmeli making was brought to Minnesota by Finnish Immigrants. In this virtual class you will learn the basic shape used to construct the Keski Pohjanmaa himmeli style which is common on the Iron Range. Students will view a slideshow about the history of the himmeli in Finland, and innovations of it today, and then construct a simple himmeli.
