Trouble: A Glam-Punk Trans-Rock Love Story

Lynette Reini-Grandell and her spouse of 36 years Venus de Mars will read from and discuss the process of writing separate memoirs on their parallel journeys through the ups and down of art, love, rock and roll. They will share writing writing strategies that have helped them move forward in creating book-length manuscripts and how they've coped with dredging up the sometimes painful past.

Twin Ports Chorale: Considering Matthew Shepherd

In October of 1998, Matthew Shepard, a young, gay student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie was kidnapped, severely beaten, tied to a fence and left to die in a lonely field under a blanket of stars. Five days later, when Matt passed away, the world was watching. In 2016, composer Craig Hella Johnson responded with his first concert-length work, Considering Matthew Shepard. Twin Ports Choral Project now brings this master work to the Arrowhead Region.
