The Lake Superior Zoo hosts Wellness Wednesdays presented by Essentia Health. Every Wednesday from June through August, guests are invited to walk, jog or run their way to wellness while exploring over 1 mile of scenic zoo trails This is a fun and refreshing way to stay active. Great Fur Trade Rendezvous

Step back in time at the Great Folle Avoine Fur Trade Rendezvous, a vibrant living history experience of over 100 authentic pre-1840s encampments along the banks of the Yellow River where two competing fur trade companies wintered from 1802 to 1804. Take a tour of the re-created fur posts, then visit with reenactors showcasing essential period skills. Witness the smoke and thunder of black powder shooting and the silent flight of traditional archery, and try your hand at tomahawk throwing.
