Santa at the Lighthouse

Families can get their photos taken with Kris Kringle in front of an epic wintry backdrop. Kids under 17 will receive free site admission for the day, as well as adults who bring a donation to CareFree Assisted Living in Silver Bay or the Silver Bay Veterans Home. Indigenous Writers Series: Thomas Peacock & Betsy Albert-Peacock

AICHO will co-host its first in-person Indigenous Writer Series session, featuring writers and publishers Thomas Peacock and Elizabeth (Betsy) Albert-Peacock. Both writers will each talk about their books, read an excerpt of their books, participate in a Q&A segment, and sign books. Peacock and Albert-Peacock are co-founders of Black Bears and Blueberries Publishing. Peacock is a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Anishinaabe. Albert-Peacock is a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Anishinaabe. This event series will be co-hosted by The University of Minnesota, Duluth’s Department of American Indian Studies. Jill Doerfler, Ph.D., UMD Department of American Indian Studies Director and writer will be moderating this session.
