Astor Piazzolla pioneered the genre of Tango Nuevo, radically redefining the beloved dance music. Much of the Latin music heard today is inspired by his lush harmonies and haunting, seductive melodies. In this recital, music faculty members Derek Bromme and Jessica Schroeder feature works by Piazzolla and other Latin composers.
