Cafe Scientifique: Color and Clay

Cafe Scientifique, normally held at Wussow’s Concert Cafe, takes a field trip to the studio of Karin Kraemer, artist and owner of Duluth Pottery. She will show different stages of pottery production, share stories of experiments gone right (and wrong), and provide insight into a craft that humans have developed for over 30,000 years.

“What is Justice?” with Erin Kelly

A native of Rochester, MN, Kelly earned her Ph.D. at Harvard University. She is now a professor of political and moral philosophy and the philosophy of law at Tufts University in Medford, MA, and the author of 2018’s “The Limits of Blame: Rethinking Punishment and Responsibility.” Her presentation will be about the morality behind responsibility and punishment.
