SS Meteor Volunteer Work Weekend

For the last 14 years, many volunteers have made a significant difference in the way the SS Meteor looks today. The work weekend is spent repairing, cleaning and organizing the SS Meteor for the upcoming season. Join a hearty group of volunteers from around the Midwest for this yearly clean-up of the historic SS Meteor. Pre-registration is required. GLSPS website at www.glsps.org.

Paws for Love

Signature fundraising gala for the Humane Society of Douglas Co. features a gourmet dinner, silent, live and dessert auction and Wheelbarrow of Liquor raffle to raise funds for the homeless and stray animals at the Superior Animal Shelter (food, vaccinations, spay/neuter, medical care, etc.) RSVP by April 12. Seating is limited.
