September is I Stand with Kids Month

I Stand with Kids Month is First Witness' annual campaign on engaging the community for prevention and awareness, so that individuals and businesses can come together to show that 'We All Stand with Kids'.

Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival

Saturday riders can participate in a 40 mile, mass start, point-to-point off-road bicycle event traveling from downtown Hayward over the famed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail, forest roads, snowmobile trails and other wooded lanes to the finish line at Telemark Resort in Cable. Also 16-mile race/tour for new and younger riders.

The Realistic Joneses

‘The Realistic Joneses’ by Will Eno is a comedy about two couples, both with the last name Jones, wrestling with major mid-life issues, including degenerative disease. This quirky play strikes a balance between the tragedy and the comedy of life in the 21st century. Making its regional debut, this show was selected as one of the top “25 new American plays in the last 25 years” by the New York Times. Wednesday, Sept. 19 showing is "pay what you can night," first come first serve.

An intimate journey honoring these remarkable musician's personal stories of the rain and shine, sun and storm of life, lived under the sky of their unique rainbow identities. Connecting professional performers from the Twin Ports including faculty from the College of Saint Scholastica, University of Wisconsin Superior and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Performers include Bret Amundson, Derek Bromme, Tom Hamilton, Elias Mokole, Paula Pederson, Nicholas Susi and Sara Thomsen.
