Magic Smelt Parade Art Making Session

Join the magic smelt party by making puppets, costumes and art to run with the smelt in this year’s Run Smelt Run parade. Art making events arefree and open to all ages, supplies are provided (please bring silver articles of clothing and fabrics). Parade May 14, 3:30pm, at the Aerial Lift Bridge.

World Accordion Day and Willard A. Palmer Centenary Festival

A brilliant slate of international accordion artists will be presented in adjoining festivals on May 6, and May 7, 2017, at Harrington ARTS Center, 1401 Belknap Street, Superior, WI. Sponsored by A World of Accordions Museum, the festivals commemorate World Accordion Day (May 6) and Centenary Celebration of Dr. Willard A. Palmer (May 7).

DSSO: Now & Then

The Duluth Civic Orchestra was founded in 1931 and performed its inaugural concert on May 2nd 1932. On the program was Tchaikovsky’s stirring Symphony No.4. Almost to the day 85 years later this music will come to life again as we celebrate 85 years of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra.
