Parents and Pals Playtime

These events will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am-11:30am starting on October 3rd, 2017. Here are a few details about our new program: - Parents and preschool-aged children are invited to come and play - Our fellowship hall will be converted into a play area with toys and flooring - Coffee and snacks will be available - This isn't childcare: parents must be present

YWCA Women of Distinction Luncheon

Women of Distinction is celebrating 14 years of empowerment in 2017. Each year over 300 people come together to celebrate women in our community who make significant contributions to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. As always, this event includes a sit down lunch, presentation and award ceremony, and a free will donation ask.

Describing her large-scale paintings of waves, Karen Owsley Nease says “I approach the immediate landscape in much the same way as a naturalist. Instead of words, I use paint. Through concentrated observation of the natural phenomena in my surroundings, I deepen my understanding of the larger system as a whole. My artwork is an act of witness.”
