Lake Superior Estuarium

The Lake Superior Estuarium is a gateway to the headwaters of the Great Lakes. Beautiful interactive displays tell stories of the St. Louis River Estuary, Lake Superior, and the communities on their shores. The exhibit hall includes a play area for young children, maps to orient you to the largest estuary on Lake Superior, and information to help you get out and explore.

Toast to Tails

Swing on in to the zoo for a salute to the Roaring 20's! Join our animal ambassadors for one-of-kind encounters that will amaze and delight! We've got it all goodies: food, beer, wine, games, raffles, silent auction/silent movies with popcorn bar, bespoke desserts, coffee...and did we mention the animals? Juke and jive to our DJ'ed dancing, with Charleston/foxtrot experts to show you the moves.

Salsa with the Saints

The St. Scholastica Jazz Band and the North Shore Big Band present an evening of Latin dancing. Instructors from North Shore Ballroom will provide lessons for the first half hour, then the dance floor will be open until 9 P.M. Come and merengue the night away!
