Mom has never seen my short films. Join me in giving her a proper screening. She will be watching 8 short films at 6pm (and another 6 films at 4:45 if you want to arrive early). It will be a fun night of short films! Public event. Free to all, but you must register. Donations will be solicited at event. Mom is excited for this!

Genocide Process through a Human Rights Lens

UMD’s Baeumler-Kaplan Holocaust Commemoration Committee will host Dr. Melanie O’Brien, Visiting Professor at the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Dr. O’Brien will discuss her most recent book which studies the process of genocide through the human rights violations that occur during genocide.

Bong Speaker Series

On March 14, Capt. (Ret) Tom Blomquist will share his experiences as a pilot in Vietnam. He flew a total of 59 weapons runs throughout South Vietnam and Laos, the majority being in Cambodia. During his time overseas, Capt. Blomquist and his crew were also standing on alert with nuclear weapons for any Cold War threats that may arise.
