Diferencias

Featuring Mina Kaiser, Edward Martin, and Phillip Rukavina
This program of Spanish Renassiance music will feature works of Ortiz, Cabezon, Escobar, Encina, and the ubiquitous Anonymous, arranged for vihuela trio and performed with variations, or “diferencias,” created by Mina Kaiser. While none of these pieces were originally published in this particular instrumentation, the practice of arranging and performing on the vihuela works intended for other instruments was widely accepted at the time.

Cost: $12 general admission, free for students pre-K to college
