Creation Spirituality, with its emphasis on Original Blessing and the four paths of the Via Positiva, Via Negativa, Via Creativa and Via Transformativa celebrates joy and our sensory/sensual experiences; honors grief, silence and darkness; awakens/acknowledges our creativity and inner artist; and calls us to social and ecological justice. CS provides a vocabulary for naming and framing our lives, and views our spiritual and earthly experiences as one, not as the “sacred and profane.”

Richie Townsend is a musician, tai chi/qigong teacher and a student of Creation Spirituality for over 30 years. He has a BA in religious studies from the College of St. Scholastica and doctor of ministry degree in Creation Spirituality from University of Creation Spirituality, Oakland, CA.
