History Theatre: Mrs. Jay Cooke
Meet Dorothea Elizabeth Allen Cooke, as portrayed by Rachael Martin, retired museum director, and longtime living history interpreter. The year is 1868 when Philadelphia banker Jay Cooke and his wife visited Superior to determine whether or not to invest in building a railroad. While Mr. Cooke attends to business, Mrs. Cooke is meeting with residents of the community to get acquainted and find out more about this newly developing community.
