A deal has been reached to lease the former Hell Burgers location at 310 South Lake Ave. Originally opened in 2007 as Hell’s Kitchen; it was re-positioned as Hell Burgers with a simpler, lower cost menu after the initial concept floundered. The Hell Burger concept faired somewhat better but was shuttered in October of 2010.The building, owned by George Sherman, also houses the successful Thai Krathong restaurant.
The Midwestern chain of bar and grills, many of them with wood fired grills, has 12 locations in western Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. They currently have a location next to the Miller Hill Mall; and on Tower Avenue in Superior. It is not believed that either of these locations will be eliminated
