Pikkujoulu (Finnish Little Christmas)

The Lakehead Chapter of the Minnesota Finnish American Historical Society hosts the 41st annual Pikkujoulu (Finnish Little Christmas). A Finnish dinner will be served followed by a program. The program “Finnish Music to Stir the Heart” will be performed by Jeanne Doty, Johanna Salem and Dan Doty. They will be sharing our traditional old melodies. Pikkujoulu will conclude with brief meeting, door prizes and singing.

Blue Christmas: A Service of Comfort and Hope

The holidays can be a difficult season for many people, especially if you are grieving the loss of a loved one, processing the pain of a broken relationship, or battling loneliness. This contemplative service will offer space to mark these losses with music and the lighting of candles and give you an opportunity to receive comfort in the midst of your pain.
