Art Escape

From painters, jewelers, potters, and sculptors to woodworkers and performers, Bayfield’s high-quality art scene is worth celebrating. Join us for the second annual “Art Escape,” a nine-day celebration of “all things art” across Bayfield County and Madeline Island. Experience the arts through demonstrations, and open houses, and create your own masterpiece through a workshop.

Verne Wagner will talk about his new book, "The Right Side of the Cross," which details his experience of abuse in the Catholic church, and the ensuing struggle with addiction and mental health problems.

Festival of the Arts

Join us for this juried arts & crafts show held in Memorial Park on the scenic shores of Lake Superior. A place of inspiration for many artists who live, work, play and visit Bayfield. Visitors will find a unique selection of pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture, glass works, wood carvings, photography and more. There will also be opportunities for children to explore their creative side.

Requiem for the Living

Friends of the Felgemaker will host the first concert of the 2025-2026 season at Sacred Heart Music Center. The main work is Dan Forrest's award-winning choral composition, Requiem for the Living, for choir, organ, and chamber orchestra, conducted by the Resident Organist, Dr. Charles Sundquist. Rachael Kresha will play solo organ selections by Durufle and Howells to open the program.
