Dr. Kevin Taber's talk will explore how and why African migrant organizations in the Midwestern US build and utilize transnational networks to promote grassroots economic development and local political change in their places of origin, while also helping explain variations in their levels of commitment to, and efficacy in, these efforts. This event is a School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) Colloquium.
