In honor of National Donut Day, The Duluth Salvation Army will be passing out 365 free donuts until they run out. The Salvation Army will be collecting monetary donations for the food shelf. Federal funding for the food shelf was cut to less than half, leaving the program completely unfunded from June – December of this year at a deficit of $65,000.

There will be two staff dressed as WWI Salvation Army Donut Lassies available for photos to share on social media. Anyone who posts a photo to their Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #DonutDayDuluthSA will be entered to win one of two Donut Day gift packages including a $20 gift card to Johnson’s bakery, a bag of Donut Shop coffee, 2 coffee mugs and 5 free car wash passes from Tommy’s Express.
