Rep. Tom Tiffany has a 100% voting record for supporting Trump’s agenda (according to Vote-Hub a nonpartisan, independent election reporting website). The Congressional Quarterly gives Tiffany a 99% rating.

Given Trump’s outrageous, harmful, illegal, corrupt and simply stupid actions and behaviors as President, what does this tell voters about Tiffany’s judgment and performance as a “representative” of the people of Wisconsin?

Is this who you want for governor?”

Donald Trump’s tariffs have cost the average Wisconsin household $1,095 in higher prices in 2025. Wisconsin lost 3,910 manufacturing jobs. Wisconsin dairy and grain farmers have lost export income from the retaliatory tariffs imposed by Canada and China.

These are the findings of a recent report by the Midwest Economic Policy Institute (“Tariffs and the Midwest: Impacts on Households, Manufacturing, and Economies in Six States,” July 22, 2026).

The report says import taxes hit the Midwest hard “raising costs, shrinking the economy, reducing manufacturing employment and disproportionately impacting low-income families.”

Tariffs are a tax you pay with higher prices. These costs are continuing and getting worse in 2026.

Tiffany supports Trump’s harmful tariff wars. In February 2026, Tiffany voted to keep Trump’s 25% tariffs on Canadian goods. Six other Republicans voted to stop them.

Canada is our second largest trading partner after Mexico. Canada is our largest foreign supplier of crude oil. Natural gas, refined petroleum products, electricity, automobiles and auto parts (necessary for U.S. domestic production) come from Canada. Trade wars with Canada are stupid and self-defeating

Is Tiffany who you want for governor?

Trump’s disastrous war with Iran is adding to the tariff-induced inflation. The war has driven up gasoline prices, hurting working people who have to drive to get to work.

Diesel prices are more than $6 a gallon and almost everything moves by truck. Everyone – rich or poor – is paying significantly more for groceries and consumer goods.

Most farm equipment runs on diesel so farmers are being hurt harder than other consumers.

Tom Tiffany has supported Trump’s unnecessary, stupid war with Iran. He voted five times against House war powers resolutions to stop the war (Wisconsin Watch: Fact Briefs. September 17, 2026).

Tiffany puts loyalty to Trump first, regardless of the impact on the people of Wisconsin.

Tiffany has voted numerous times to cut funding for important public services. The website “Tiffany Facts: the record he won’t run on” lists 52 examples with documentation (see tiffanyfacts.com). They say, “He voted to raise your costs, cut your health care and slash the food aid 700,000 Wisconsinites rely on...”

In 2025 Tiffany voted to cut food assistance for Wisconsin families. The budget bill (HR1) cut funding for the SNAP program (food stamps) by 20%.

In Wisconsin 700,000 people (one in eight residents) uses this program and the cuts will probably leave 90,000 people without any help.

Multiple sources report Tiffany has voted for budget cuts that will reduce or eliminate K-12 school meal programs.

Is this who you want for governor?

The Affordable Insulin Now Act (H.R.6833) of 2022 would have capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month. Tiffany voted against it.

Inflation Reduction Act (H.R.5376) of 2022 allowed Medicare to negotiate the price of prescription drugs with drug companies. This sensible business practice (negotiating high volume discounts) has been opposed by Republicans for decades. Tiffany voted no.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R.3684) of 2021 was a bipartisan bill to fund road and bridge repairs and upgrade airports across the country, including Wisconsin. It provided funding for high-speed internet in rural Wisconsin. Tiffany voted no.

Tiffany voted against funding for rebuilding the aging Blatnik Bridge between Superior and Duluth. After the bill passed and the funding was released, Tiffany issued a press release taking credit for the the funding.

In December 2025, Tiffany voted for the SPEED Act to fast-track permits for data center projects. He called data centers “exciting new technology.”

In May 2026, running for governor, he  promised to repeal tax breaks for data centers. But his voting record shows he has always supported subsidies for big businesses.

His flip-flop on data centers is suspicious. Do you want a governor who is dishonest and hides his true positions on issues?

In 2021 Tiffany voted against renewing the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (H.R.1620). The Violence Against Women Act funds shelters, rape crisis centers and legal help for survivors of domestic violence.

Tiffany supports a national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest. He has advocated for the Life at Conception Act which grants legal rights to embryos and fetuses. He voted to defund Planned Parenthood. Tiffany even voted against legislation to protect the right to contraception!

Tiffany frequently pontificates about “freedom,” but this does not apply to the freedom of women to control their own bodies. Tiffany is an extremist on reproductive health and way out of step with the majority of women in Wisconsin.

Tiffany took all of his anti-choice language off his campaign website. He doesn’t want the women to know about his extreme positions and voting record.

Is Tiffany who you ladies and young women want for governor?

Who is paying for Tiffany’s campaign is another problematic issue. Campaign finance reports show Tiffany has raised $26.3 million in the last three months and $24 million came from transfers from the Wisconsin Republican Party. The WRP reported 93% of its donations came from three billionaires (two a married couple from Illinois and one a women from Wisconsin).

State law limits individual donations to a candidate to $20,000. But a law passed by Republicans (including Tiffany) in 2015 allows unlimited transfers from political parties. Clearly Tiffany, in addition to being Trump’s water boy, will be beholden to three billionaires.

Tiffany believes all Trump’s lies about the 2020 election being “rigged and “stolen.” Tiffany has supported overturning Biden’s election on numerous occasions. In 2021 he voted against an independent, bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol (but now supports an FBI investigation of Wisconsin’s handling of the 2020 election).

Tiffany has supported Trump’s attacks on voting by mail and other schemes to interfere with the midterm elections. He supports Trump’s blatantly illegal proposal to give every adult a $5,000 “dividend” if Republicans maintain control of the House.
