A triad that should be tried for war crimes

Some people are complaining that the U.S. did not get a “good deal” in the ceasefire with Iran, but the U.S. and Israel do not deserve a good deal. Iran owes us nothing.
What Netanyahu, Trump and Hegseth deserve is to be tried for war crimes, and not just for their illegal war of aggression against Iran.
Israel has applied the “Gaza model” of ethnic cleansing and destruction to southern Lebanon, displacing over a million people, and murdering thousands.
As with the genocide in Gaza, it happened with the full financial and military support of the U.S. Now Israel - always the bully playing the victim - thinks it can hold onto that land for a “buffer zone,” and any efforts by Hezbollah to drive them out will be considered “terrorism.”
But Israel and the U.S. have reached the limits of their power, and the rest of the world, as well as a majority of Americans, have reached the limits of their patience.

Grilling the candidates about climate change
In April the Chequamegon, Rib Mountain/Marshfield and Birchwood Chapters of Citizens’ Climate Lobby sent a survey to 7th Congressional District Candidates Michael Alfonso, Chris Armstrong, Niina Baum, Fred Clark, Jessi Ebben, Kevin Hermening and Ginger Murray with the following questions: 
• Which of the following should the United States increase its use of to meet its future energy needs:  Coal?  Oil?  Natural gas?  Hydro?  Nuclear?  Solar?  Wind?  Battery storage?  Geothermal?  Other?  (Your answer can include more than one.)
• The United States has withdrawn from the Paris Climate Agreement and intends to withdraw from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Do you agree with these decisions?
• Should Congress pass legislation to reduce carbon emissions?
• Should we be concerned about China’s dominance in renewable energy manufacturing and implementation?
• Should we be concerned about potential impacts of climate change in northern Wisconsin on such things as air quality, forestry, agriculture, winter tourism, fishing, homeowner’s insurance, food prices and climate migration?
• What, if any, policies do you favor to deal with climate change?
We didn’t hear back from candidates Alfonso, Ebben and Hermening, but we did receive responses from candidates, Armstrong, Baum, Clark and Murray.  There isn’t enough room to include their responses in this letter, but they can be viewed online at: tinyurl.com/clsurv7. 
We sent a similar survey to candidates for the Wisconsin legislature from the 7th Congressional District, and received responses from State Senate candidates Gillian Battino, Richard Pulcher and Charly Ray and State Assembly candidates Angela Stroud and Indiana Thompson. We hope that 7th Congressional District voters will find this information helpful when considering how to vote in the Aug. 11 primary election and Nov. 3 general election.
