James Vukelich-Seven Grandfather Teachings

James Vukelich Kaagegaabaw of the Turtle Mountain Band of Ojibwe and renowned speaker author and digital creator shares teachings surrounding mino-bimaadiziwin, the good life, and how we are all inextricably connected. The evening begins with a community feast and closes with a book giveaway.

With a name and music rooted in the North Shore they capture the spirit of life up north and the place they are grateful to call home.

This is Hayward’s biggest summer bash and it returns for its 76^th year honoring decades of fishing tradition. Three full music arts and crafts sidewalk sales a carnival fishing contest cornhole a 5K run/walk and street dances on Main Street. Definitely worth the trip south.

Duluth Ukulele Community Strum

Wired Whisker
Duluth’s ukulele community gathers at Wired whisker for a group strum session open to all skill levels. Players take turns picking songs from The Daily Ukulele songbook while the resident rescue cats provide their own editorial commentary. Bring your uke and come hang and enjoy the view of cats.
