A proposal for the gross Arc de Trump

Here is a “modest proposal” inspired by Trump’s triumphal arch. If it’s ever built, despite the opposition, it should not be decorated w/ golden lions, angels, or what-have-you. Etched on it should be his 6 corporate bankruptcies; 30+ criminal indictments, with one felony conviction; wars started, after he derided people who start wars; names and crimes of Jan. 6th criminals pardoned; numbers of women molested or raped; students (at “Trump University”) cheated out of their tuition, and workers on building projects cheated out of their earnings; numbers of lies per year; etc.

The proposed structure would not be an arch but a big lumpy shape covered w/ Trump’s history; to be fair, there would also be a small area for good things he did. It would be called The Big If, echoing Benjamin Franklin’s remark: “[You’ve got yourself] A republic, if you can keep it.”
This isn’t meant to qualify as a proposal for an actual monument, but to test whether some humor and derision could give those who have charge of DC public spaces the backbone to say No to Trump’s narcissistic fantasies. If you know one or more people in such positions, please pass this on to them, as well as to your own friends and families. Maybe some enterprising, well-connected person/s will use it to quash Trump’s daydreams.

America is not the good guy

Peace is the most important thing on this Earth but not for the U.S. system – it seems to love war whether Democrat or Republican. The weapons industry and big business control the U.S. which is not a democracy. All of America’s wars, and there have been many, were fought against countries that were not our enemies. America is a bully. “WE” killed 3,ooo,ooo Vietnamese under both Democrat and Republican governments (Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford) and Vietnam was never a threat to the US to state one example of many. We have no choice; both parties love war. Trump and Biden are war criminals and in a peaceful world would both be in prison for life along with probably almost all ex- presidents. Palestine has lost over 100,000 of their people in Gaza and the toll keeps going up as the U.S. presidents armed and keep arming the Israeli government. Can we really imagine the suffering of these good people. (I taught English in Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine on 4 different occassions). Palestine was Palestine before 1948 until much of it was given to the Zionists!!! And Israel keeps stealing more and more with the help of good old Uncle Sam. The U.S. is the biggest war mongering terrorist criminal in the world today, maybe of all time and I am ashamed to call myself an American.

We need to face the facts folks. America is not the good guy – never was and probably never will be unless we wake up. War is the biggest crime against humanity and the world.  And the US government is the biggest war criminal on the planet. America is the terrorist. We need to wake up about the 2 parties that represent the rich and don’t give a damn who dies to protect “their” wealth. The US government needs to make a 180 degree turnaround.

Imagine how much good could be accomplished in a peaceful world. Solving environmental problems in the world, free health care for all. That’s what American’s would want but the media keeps us confused/brainwashed. But both the Democrats and the Republicans will continue to lead us into war forever and forever lying to us about the need. Shame is America’s main export.
