Remembering the music of George Zizzos

I grew up in Cloquet and listened to George Zizzos and his bands for almost 60 years. Two of my classmates were in his first band, Cottonmouth, when I was in high school (class of 72). George was always the glue in all his bands and just a great guitar player. A great soloist but so rock solid playing the rhythm of a song too. He always was humble and friendly to everyone. I never met a person who didn’t like George. I consider myself lucky to have known George and being able to listen to his great music for so long. My condolences to his brothers Nick and John, both who were drummers in the band, and his family.

Thanks, Harry

Dear Harry Welty, Thank you for your thoughtful column on Keith Ellison and the Judge and fraudsters that can afford to skip bail and flee the country.

Virus gaslighting

The Trump administration is saying that we don’t have to worry about the hauntivirus, that it’s hard to get. But I don’t believe them since they said that about COVID and see how many people died from it and if it was now even more people would die since RFK Jr doesn’t believe in vaccines even though it’s been proven that they work and do not cause autism and when Trump got COVID he said it was like a light case of the flu.

I hope that I’m wrong but everytime I hear the news someone else is being quarantined and for a longer period of time then the original amount of time or tasting positive for it even if they weren’t on the ship.  The same with the ebola virus.
