Can we learn from another primate
why they don’t kill each other?
If we list a progressing chain of being for walking, talking primates, bonobos would be right next to us on a picture wall of leaders because we share 98.7% of our DNA with them. But there’s something in the remaining 1.3% DNA that keeps them from killing each other. Fascinating.

Shouldn’t we have an intense study of why there are no murders in a bonobo community?

They also live in female-led communities where good relationships really matter, definitely not like Russian gulags, Israel and Gaza, Syria and revolutions, and Iran and protests where murder occurs in the thousands.

They are also sexy. They use sex to procreate, have fun, to ease tensions and depression, settle disputes and reinforce bonds among neighbors.

And testosterone does not rule or ruin lives.

Researchers have not discovered narcissism or the more dangerous malignant narcissism. Of course, they have no mirrors or quiet waters to admire themselves. In that they are all naked and much alike, fashion does not play on envy, jealousy or economic inequality.

They do not have brutal turf wars or conduct lethal raids on other groups. We must remember that millions of years ago humans, bonobos and chimps eventually split off from one body.

An international research team led by Kyoto University has never seen a fat bonobo, unlike humans where fatties are reaching more than 30% of the population.

Maybe the bonobos have a better diet. They eat lots of fruit, green leaves, and a few small animals. They spend a lot of time in the trees but are also confident of taking care of themselves on the ground.
The researchers report that bonobos are leaner than chimps, the third animal in the chain of being, and have very expressive eyes in very dark faces.

The bonobo language is quite complex. They have many calls, strong gestures and sensitive facial expressions to stay socially tuned in, and have calls associated with survival skills.

Bonobos treat “outsiders” with connection rather than aggression
Religions have probably killed more humans on Planet Earth than economic inequality. Over many centuries we have had more than 15 “crusades” fought between Christians and Muslims, killing many thousands in the streets. Various Indian religions bomb each other on occasion. 

More than six million Jews have been murdered by aggression rather than connection. It’s time we knew why.

The researchers have discovered that bonobos have an “outgroup signal” when they register an “outside” group. They don’t drum up a fight in their social “connection” skills. Their close ancestors, the chimps, usually attack “outsider” chimp groups. Bonobos groom each other to relieve the tensions of having other bonobo groups close  by.

The senior author of the research, Shinya Yamamoto, writes that humans react like chimps or bonobos, turning outsiders into enemies or friends. She suggests that in an argument, a political fight, a workplace dispute, humans need to pause, remember, and consider how a bonobo male would react to the scene.

Genetic scientists should examine 1.3% of DNA that separates us from bonobos and come up with the gene that can turn combative zombie humans into socializing, cooperative and loving beings.
Maybe a drug company will develop a transfusion of empathy that so many humans lack.
Maybe blood from bonobos?

The Chosen One by evangelical “Christians” thought that was a terrific idea for the nearly 800,000 homeless counted on one night of the year. Reliable social workers who work constantly with the homeless believe there are about five million more who are not counted on that special night.

American Stephen Banks travels the world for his life’s work so he has noticed what Donald Trump has done to his country in the last decade: “I no longer walk the streets of a non-American city proud of where I come from, proud of the blue and gold book in my money belt I no believe in who I am and where I’m from. I no longer look at local peoples confident they recognize me and my America for our ideals. I no longer pull out my passport with a flourish and hand it over with pride. I’m ashamed now, of my country. And I’m ashamed of myself, for being believed for what I believe about the country I adored for so long. And I did so little to protect it.”

In the December 15 issue of The New Yorker, Atossia Araxia Abrahamian wrote a column “Letter from the Netherlands HOW TO LEAVE THE USA Why fed-up Americans are going Dutch.” 
It is true groups of Americans threaten to leave the country every four years because of who is elected, but it has been rare for anybody to finally leave for political reasons.
“The Most Dangerous Man In the World” has changed all that. 
The research firm Harris Poll recently surveyed its respondents and discovered that “nearly half” had considered leaving the country. They cited many reasons: politics, safety, economic security, better opportunities overseas or in Canada, and most important, the overall sense that their families would have a much better future.

And Americans are afraid of racism and hate of the LBGTQUIA+ community.
According to Harris, 38% of those surveyed cited health care as the main reason for considering a move to Europe. Trumplicans. In just the last two months, 67 American transgenders have requested asylum in the Netherlands. Nine were approved last year.
Transgender Professor Mark Bray at Rutgers University moved to Spain after the local Turning Point USA chapter threatened him with dismissal and death because as a history scholar, he taught a course about anti-fascism.
It’s also interesting that when the Trump administration cut billions from the USAID program and many Americans lost their jobs overseas, many decided to stay in the countries they served because they had better living environments and economic conditions than the United States of Donald II and the Naziblican Party represented by Brownshirts, SS, and Gestapo thugs making America White Forever by using airplanes instead of boxcars.

Even people making six figures, often called part of the American Dream, have asked for citizenship in the Netherlands because they say emphatically: “I want to be where the government cares about you and takes care of you and is you.”
The number of Americans requesting citizenship in the Netherlands has increased tenfold in just a year.
American musician Jeffrey Scott Pearson moved to the Netherlands in 2017 when in his 50s because he like the country. Shortly after moving he suffered a serious heart attack, was hospitalized for three weeks and had to have a graft from an arm moved to the heart. His hospital bill was 312 euros.
In the Divided States of America his bill would have been $35,000.
The move to the Netherlands is easy for most Americans because many Dutch also speak English and food is familiar: cake, pancakes, waffles, doughnuts and hundreds of similar recipes.
It is rather shocking to realize many Americans are considering leaving the country for better lives in other countries because for centuries impoverished immigrants came to the U.S. seeking safety, prosperity, and happiness.
Now, Americans are leaving to find those three essentials for the good life in other countries. They do not want to live in a country ruled by King Donald II, who wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Golf of America, rename buildings, halls, centers, streets, cities, roads, bridges, monuments and programs with huge gold “TRUMP” signs.

The only construction to take place should be to install pads over the walls and gold trash in the Oval Office so The Chosen One doesn’t hurt himself – but only after the nuclear button has been deported to the Department of Defense.

Will the world’s billionaires find another planet in time?
The world had only 1,000 billionaires in 2005. In 2026 we have 3,028. It will take a good astronomer to find a livable planet soon, and a good rocket man to blast them to Earth II before Earth I burns and blows up.
Oxfam, a confederation of people in 90 countries completes research to fight inequality and end poverty. It has been researching changes in climate for years and certainly is one of the leading authorities on climate change.
In a report published on January 10 titled “World’s richest 1% have already used fair share of emissions for 2026,” Oxfam stated: “The worst effects of of the emissions would be faced by those  who had done the east to cause the  climate crisis, including people in low-income countries on the frontlines of climate breakdown, Indigenous groups, women, and girls.”

One billionaire traveling in his 500 ft. superyacht on the world’s oceans trying to escape the increasing heat may produce more emissions from fossil fuels than a small country does in a year. 
Oxfam researchers have determined that each member of the one percent has used up his annual share of emissions in the first 10 days of January.
Remember also the private jets, helicopters and the mansions scattered around the world – and the one/tenth of one percent have used up their annual share in three days. 
Here is a blunt Oxfam fact: to stay within the agreed global heating limit of no more than 1.5C above preindustrial levels set be the Paris Agreement in 2015, the richest 1% would have to reduce their emissions by 97% by 2030. It ain’t gonna happen.
The 1% own more than 90% of the fossil fuel corporations and pipeline and refining companies in the world and make billions every year while not even thinking of the poor.
In the devastating hurricane that recently ravaged Jamaica, winds of more than 250 miles an hour were registered a few hundred feet above the country. A rainstorm in Vietnam at the same time dropped nearly five feet of water inside a 24-hour period.
Every few months there is a forecast of an “atmospheric wave event,” particularly in the Pacific Ocean near California. They cause extreme weather on the entire west coast but primarily cause floods and landslides in the southern half of California.
Research collected by NASA weather forecasts so astronauts returning to earth in capsules by parachutes can survive a landing in the ocean indicates that atmospheric events in the oceans have tripled over the last 75 years.
If billionaires expect to survive climate change, they should soon board a capsule leaving Planet Earth forever for a new home.
