Use it or lose it!

The No Kings 2 rally will be held at the Duluth civic center on Saturday, Oct 18th, at 10:30 am. Other rallies will be held at various times on Saturday, Oct. 18th, in the following places: Superior, Cloquet, Ashland, Virginia, Washburn, Chisholm, Bayfield, Cook, Hayward, Grand Marais, Spooner, Grand Rapids, Ironwood, Crosby, Siren, International Falls, Brule and Bemidji.

We don’t need lies. Stop it.           

Patriotic people are holding a “No Kings Rally” on Oct. 18 nationwide. It’s just what it says. In 1776 bad King George III ruled us. We had a revolution over it.  The U.S. democracy is a “do-it-yourself” form of government. We don’t want anyone else telling us what to do. For that to work, we have to be informed, participate, ignoring liars who want to be leaders.  

I just saw the video of MAGA Representative Tom Emmer (Minnesota) claiming the 10-18-25 rally a “Hate America Rally.” Can Mr. Emmer even read? At a fourth grade level? It says “No Kings Rally.” It’s real plain. Is Emmer such a glutton for power he’ll lie to try making a bad president feel good? ‘No Kings’ supporters were labeled Hamas, antifa and anything else including “enemy from within.”  

Just like the president, not a thing Emmer said is true. Complete lies. Can you see where all our nation’s divisiveness is coming from? It’s obvious! If Mr. Emmer’s slur is considered fair, then it’s fair to label Emmer, Speaker Mike Johnson and those MAGA-Republican people as communists, terrorists, treasonists, maybe even the devil.

MAGA people feel insulted when they’re labeled uninformed, misinformed, maybe stupid.  Look at the signs at the last rally held June 14: there were lots of “No Kings” signs, not one “pro-Hamas” or “Hate America” sign!  
What’s wrong with the MAGA people?  I had a long talk with one of them after a previous rally: he said he was sure we were pro-Hamas and was very angry! Hollering, yelling, veins on his forehead sticking out. I proved otherwise even to his satisfaction; he listened. No wonder MAGAs are so angry: they’re totally mixed up by their own leaders, and told don’t look elsewhere for information.  

What should we call that?  Anti-American?

(Ode to the one that got away)
                 “A WISH”
Her grace,

She’s sleeping in the early morning light and she is beautiful.
I wonder how she could possibly be with me and I utter a quiet praise to the Lord because I know why.
Her hand is resting on my bare chest and with even its tiniest movement a wave of electricity races over my entire body.
I should let her sleep but I don’t want the day to progress further deprived of her Light.
How to wake a princess? I grin mischievously because the answer is obvious.
Gently, my hand brushes a tress of her hair from her forehead and I place a kiss.
Her eyelashes flutter.
Her eyes meet with mine and, as it always does, her gaze sets off an energetic symphony playing in my soul.
I tap my fingertip to the tip of her nose to try for the magic.
It works. Here comes the smile.
It’s a cute bunny rabbit smile and it melts my heart every time.
She doesn’t know what she does to me.
She doesn’t know how much I care.
I don’t love her; “Love” is too small a word to describe how I feel about her
. . .
but it will have to do.
