Missing personal freedom

The Constitution of the United States, including the Bill of Rights, worked pretty well for our nation since adoption in 1789. It is important to preserve history, so it would be good for those who are interested to preserve hard copies of those interesting documents while they are still available. There may come a time in the future when we can dust off those preserved copies and use them to teach young people about the government that allowed a free people to govern themselves.

Now that our national leaders and government are telling us all how to think, act and speak, we no longer need a constitution. And of course our elected and appointed national leaders are no longer following the constitution anyway. It may be that many will enjoy the freedom from hard decisions now that influencers dictate our actions. Those of us who enjoyed personal freedom will miss it though.

The hatred goes on

IIt’s been more than two decades since the Twin Towers were sabotaged by a group of extreme Jihadists who thought they were doing God’s will by ending the lives of themselves and all the passengers who put up a valiant but failed attempt to wrest control of United flight 93 before it crashed into the ground and killed the terrorists and brave American Patriots who gave them a valiant but failed fight.

If anyone watches the film about flight 93, I urge you to take note of the fervent prayers recited by Bin Laden’s “heroes,” as well as the fervent Christian prayers issued from the mouths of endangered passengers as they prayed not to die that day. Both groups prayed with great sincerity and thus were alike in some basic ways.

When it comes to religions, we all have ideas about what having faith in our Gods can do to protect us. But sadly, the extremists groomed by Bin Laden looked were just as fervent as the helpless passengers whose only fault was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. So maybe we need to truly understand that God is not biased in favor of the Green Bay packers, or George Bush, and that Jesus Christs would not want any of us to gratify our fears and hatreds by blindly aligning with any of the conspiracy theories that were hatched on that day. Conspiracy theorists have analyzed every possibility theory about George Bush and his military brass being directly responsible for sacrificing the Twin Towers just so Bush could rocket himself to stardom and win the hearts of Americans from all walks of life, (By deliberately killing about 3000 Americans, in the air and in the Towers)? And they claimed, that such a heinous plot had actually been planed, carried out, and abetted, by the Bush Government. Why? Because it just seemed too simple to disregard all the science that invariably pointed to the fact that such a domestic plot would have been just too complex, and involve too many people, to be pulled off by American traitors who would never talk.

I looked on metallurgical websites written decades ago, where Reports issued by those who examined all the physics and the chemistry involved in 911 still stated that what happened could have been caused by unanticipated but believable factors, such as the plasticity of very hot steel beams, the lead paint on the walls of each floor, and the consuming of numerous computers, ink cartridges, and electronic devises, that fed the fires continuously. But deniers still point to the idea that what happened was most likely caused by perfectly timed explosions on each floor, as jets slammed into the towers at incredible speeds that no one thought could bring down the towers, and thus, must have been designed by covert traitors in the Bush administration who planted and set off (thermite) explosions that brought down the hundred plus floors in each tower with perfect timing, causing a pancaking action that even prevented them from falling sideways.

However, all the scientific websites I examined claimed that such perfectly timed, hundreds of explosions, were impossible to synchronize just right. And Chemistry, physics and metallurgical sites written decades ago effectively disputed each claim currently made by conspiracy believers.
So enough with cloak and dagger explanations, rather, lets take a look at the politics of the times which could have explained why Bush might believe that such a violent action against all of us, could justify shaping our foreign policy by attempting to influence the government to establish a friendly ally in an oil rich Middle Eastern nation—something which would benefit America in many different ways.

Look, no President would willingly sacrifice thousands of American lives. and help bring down the financial hub of our country just to become popular. But many presidents would take advantage of circumstances which might eventually result in a positive US presence in Iraq, simply by helping install a new government that was aligned with the US.

911 still brings tears to the eyes of so many of us who witnessed the planes crash into the towers on live television, and even if we previously did not consider ourselves patriots, watching desperate people leap to their deaths from the upper floors (because there were no actions left that could save them), made many of us can burst into tears after witnessing the colossal human tragedy that hate helped create in our souls!

We all get angry at political BS which both sides say they hate, but its a real tragedy when anyone, even a Trump supporter like Charlie Kirk, is shot to death by someone who was filled with blinding hatred. We are all human beings and sometimes the political tragedies blamed on the “other side,” can create polarization and hate. But each time we feel those things, lets try to remember that acting with violence in return, only keeps the carousel of hatred turning, and no one will grab the political brass ring that they believe will makes them into winners.
