Local artists and a talented cast of teens bring the beloved Shakespeare classic to life in the outdoor amphitheater. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray. Admission free, first come first served, $10 suggested donation.

International Overdose Awareness Day
Saturday, Aug. 23, 5-8 p.m.
Lincoln Park
Annual event to honor the lives of those lost to overdose. Live music from Elsa Krantz and Laura Hugo, drum circle, free food and drinks, games, resources from local orgs, speakers, and community. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged.

The contest is back for a second year as 13 comedians take to the stage for a shot to advance to the finals. Closes out with a show-stopping performance by headliner Lily Meyer from Minneapolis.

USS Wisconsin Keel Laying Watch Party

A yet-to-be completed ballistic submarine, the third U.S. Navy vessel named after the cheesehead state, gets a traditional ceremony symbolizing the transition from design to reality. The event takes place in Rhode Island but there are five watch parties around Wisconsin.
