John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon

The longest sled dog race in the lower 48, at 400 miles, had a last-minute start change from Duluth to Two Harbors due to poor snow conditions in Duluth. All check points and road crossings are easily accessible to the public and the race can also be tracked online.
Lollipop Concert

The 50th annual concert “for kids by kids” by the Duluth Superior Symphony Youth Orchestras. For more than 80 years, thousands of young musicians in the Northland have found inspiration in the program.
Mizizi Ensemble

UWS Thorpe Langley Auditorium
The roots of Uganda’s premiere music and dance ensemble go back to 1996 when its founder, Okello Kelo Sam, started Hope North School to provide safety, education and opportunity to child victims of the civil war. Many members of the ensemble are graduates of the school.
