A group of widows gather in a church basement in 1956 for the annual quiche breakfast of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein. But when a nuclear bomb hits, the women realize they might be the only people left on the planet.

Fundraiser for Union Gospel Mission, a 5K walk/run highlighting the often cold and challenging journey the homeless take daily to access essential resources, inviting us to step out of our comfort zones and walk a mile in their shoes. Participants can warm up with hot food and drinks and live music at the destination, Bent Paddle.

Jim Holbeck kicks off the event at 1:15 p.m., followed by the Delicious Blues Band with RCB closing the day.
