Built by volunteers, the North Country National Scenic Trail runs 4,800 miles with 850 in Minnesota. Now it more smoothly connects with the Superior Hiking Trail’s southern terminus. Light refreshments at 9 a.m. and ribbon cutting at 10, followed by group hikes of 1-3 miles.
