ArtCars land in Silver Bay Aug. 17-19.  

AICHO Galleries Robert Powless Cultural Center 202 W. 2nd St., Duluth Gallery open Mon.–Fri. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 218-722-7225 and ask if the gallery space is available for viewing before your visit. Through Sept. 29: “Indigenous Expressions: Love, Culture & Reinvention,” works by Tashia Hart, Chenoa WIlliams and Sam Zimmerman.  

Art in Bayfront Park Saturday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 100 artists fill Bayfront Festival Park with juried works of art including jewelry, painting, photography, ceramics, metalwork, glass, food, demos and more.  

ArtCars Aug. 17-19, Silver Bay Local and visiting artists present their whimsical wheeled creations called ArtCars. Leading into the weekend will be an art discussion forum at Reunion Hall in Silver Bay on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m.  An evening ArtCar Sneak Peak opportunity takes place in downtown Silver Bay on Friday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m.  The full day exhibition takes place at the ArtCar Beach Bash at Black Beach on Saturday, August 19.

SubSuperior Underwater Music & Art Festival Through Aug. 19 Various locations around Duluth A joyful celebration of art, community, science and wonder. Events take place on, in and around the water and feature antics from the Northland’s (and beyond) most absurd creators. Events include Music for Dolphins, a flotilla, fashion show, Café Scientifique, beach cleanup and underwater gallery for snorkelers. Times and locations are weather dependent, to be announced.
