“The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path”
I wish this lunatic was on some grass, if you know what I mean, jelly bean. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. But the man says no way, Jose, and I have the $90-a-week patch on my right arm to prove it.
And, so, this 9.5 percent bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout called Lunatic from Hinterland of Green Bay will have to do.
“The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon”
Breathe, breathe in the aroma of this dark masterpiece. Don’t be afraid to care.
This is a very yummy stout. Big, bold and so dark it might have been brewed on the dark side of the moon. It will help you tick away the moments that make up a dull life.
The taste is like a marriage between dark chocolate and bourbon. Well, maybe not a marriage. Perhaps they just live together.
When I come home cold and tired, it’s good to warm my bones beside a fire with a big glass of Lunatic. It’s a gas! Makes me think I’ll buy a football team. I’m in the high-fidelity now.
This beer was gifted to me by someone who mistakenly thought it was a blueberry stout. Granted, the label is blue, and there is an astringency from the barrel-agency that one could mistake for blueberries, but I assure you, there are no blueberries in this beer. I also assure you I never said I was frightened of dying.
And now that I am near the end of the glass of this engaging stout...
“The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You rearrange me 'til I'm sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon”
