The Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad held a dedication ceremony in honor of past president Andy Webb for all his work and dedication to the Railroad over the last two decades. The LS&M Board of Directors designated the train’s Coach 29 to be named the “Andrew S Webb” during the ceremony Saturday, October 20, 2018.

   Andy has been a member of the LS&M organization since 1996. He trained to become a Fireman that first year, then followed the next season as Engineer. He had been a VP of Operations and was elected President in late 90s, continuing in this position until recently.

Throughout his tenure Andy worked in all capacities of the railroad operations from Engineer, Fireman, Conductor, Car Host, Narrator, and Ticket Agent, while being an active Board Member and President of the company.

   Andy was Instrumental to obtain property for expansion and storage; he was proactive to keep the railroad in compliance with regulations and standards, participated in staff training, very involved in daily operations as well as preforming mechanical and track maintenance and safety inspections.

   Throughout the years, Andy has guided numerous significant projects which have ensured the survival of the Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad as a tourist destination in the West Duluth St Louis River Corridor.

   Andy Webb has been the “Face of the Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad” in the Duluth Community over the past 20+ years.
