HillFest

It’s back for its 10th year. HillFest is an annual neighborhood street festival for anybody who lives, works, or enjoys the Hillside. This year’s HillFest features over 30 vendor booths, food trucks and a stage with the following performances: 2:00 Cedar Creek Drums Group 2:45 BOLD-Choice Theatre 3:30 Jaxon Gardner "JayGee" 4:30 Boku Frequency 5:15 Tofu Toss Food vendors, arts and crafts will be onsite beginning at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Free, family-friendly activities include live entertainment on stage, assorted games, a bouncy house, rock climbing wall, Duluth East Daredevils Robotics Team and a youth 3on3 hoops tournament. The annual fundraising Tofu Toss will start at 5:15 p.m.

Bring your antique/collectible item to the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot) for a free appraisal. The St. Louis County Historical Society has arranged for Dan Sershon of Northland Estate Services and Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, both experts in antique appraisal, to be at your service. Please arrive before 2:30 p.m. to register in person. You may bring up to two items per person for an informal oral identification and evaluation of each antique. If the piece is too large or fragile to be hand-carried, clear photographs with a description of any marks and labels will be sufficient.

River Rovers Nature Play Group

The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve offers the River Rovers Nature Playgroup for children ages 3-7 starting Thursday, June 20 and running every Thursday through August 29. Parents or guardians should be in attendance with their children for the duration of the program. No registration is necessary. Attendance is free and snacks are provided.
