At Lake Superior College's free Firefighting Academy from June 18-21, students ages 14 to 19 will explore career opportunities in the emergency medical, safety and rescue fields. Introduction to firefighting attack, safety and survival will include: hose-lines, ladders, ventilation, forcible entry, auto extrication, high angle rescue, search and rescue and CPR.

There are two separate classes offered with a 12 person maximum class - a Women in Aviation cohort focused on women and a co-ed cohort for any and all young adults interested in a career in aviation. Senior Yoga

Join the highly motivated instructor Ann Robertson for a yoga class designed specifically for seniors. This class includes gentle movements, stretching exercises and beginner yoga poses. River Rovers

The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve is offering the River Rovers Nature Playgroup for children ages 3-7 starting Thursday, June 14th, 2018 and running every Thursday until August 23rd. Parents or guardians should be in attendance with their children for the duration of the program. No preregistration is necessary. Attendance is free and snacks are provided.
