Ethnomusicologist Dr. Elyse Carter Vosen explores the sounds, spiritual purposes, and social force of Avodat Lev (roughly translated as "work of the heart"), a recently-developed form of intimate, imaginative, and contemplative Jewish prayer service made up of song, chant, meditation and poetry, as an outgrowth of the Jewish farming movement.

On March 14, Capt. (Ret) Tom Blomquist will share his experiences as a pilot in Vietnam. He flew a total of 59 weapons runs throughout South Vietnam and Laos, the majority being in Cambodia. During his time overseas, Capt. Blomquist and his crew were also standing on alert with nuclear weapons for any Cold War threats that may arise.
