Emotions in Motion 5k Run/Walk

Emotions In Motion: 5K Run/Walks take place in communities like yours across the country, with the proceeds benefiting Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE). By participating in one of SAVE's 5K's you will be raising money for SAVE's many educational programs to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, reduce stigma and serve as a resource for those touched by suicide.

Valley Youth Center 3rd Annual Bike Run

Registration @ 10 a.m. for bike run from Players to Docs in Sturgeon Lake and back. This includes event T-shirt and food. Non-riders welcome. Live music at 7 p.m. Audio Pilot, followed by Chain Lightning, a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. Games, prizes, raffles, and food.

Lumberjack World Championships

The Lumberjack World Championships showcase over 21 events competing for world records in events ranging from men's and women's logrolling, to chopping, to the exciting pole climb. Over 100 plus competitors' vie for more than $50,000 in prize money, making this one of the largest paybacks for lumberjack competition in the world.

The Music Man

There’s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian! Con-man Harold Hill has made small town River City, Iowa his next mark. The community (full of big personalities) buys into his scheme of a boys’ band including instruments, uniforms, and lessons, none of which the Music Man intends to deliver. But librarian Marian Paroo is onto him.
