Aviation Academy

A FREE camp for young adults ages 15-19 who are interested in learning about aviation and aerospace careers, including opportunities to experience "Discovery" flights in LSC's aircraft and operate a flight simulator. Professionals in the aviation industry will talk about career opportunities. Tours of local aviation industry partners and the 148th Airbase are also planned. There are two separate classes offered with a 12 person maximum class - a Women in Aviation cohort focused on women and a co-ed cohort for any and all young adults interested in a career in aviation. Yellow River Echoes: A Living History Fur Trade Experience

Re-enacting the life of fur traders and their Ojibwe neighbors active here from 1802-1805. Experience a working fur post and observe the camp life of the re-enactors as they go about their daily lives in 1802. Enjoy Booya on Saturday afternoon.

Ruby's Pantry

Ruby's Pantry Food Distribution is every fourth Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Fond Du Lac Community Church just off of Hwy 23 about 1/2 mile before the Mont Du Lac Ski Hill. For only a $20 donation you get an abundance of food. Volunteers are also needed each month to help unload the truck and to help distribute the food.

Letters to Prisoners

Superior Save the Kids organizes twice monthly meetings in solidarity with people behind bars. No experience necessary! Find us all the way in the back of the library at a table. Writing letters puts us in touch with mass incarceration and what it means rather than allowing us to look away from the system which is built on racial and economic injustice; a political act that provides comfort.

Meet Steve Johnson, author of Hiking Waterfalls in Minnesota. This Falcon Guide includes detailed hike descriptions, maps, and color photos for approximately 100 of the most scenic waterfall hikes in Minnesota. Hike descriptions also include history, local trivia, and GPS coordinates.

Pinocchio

The wooden puppet wants to be a real boy and must prove himself truthful and brave in order to get his wish. This play with playful songs is a new and colorful interactive experience for kids and families. An original adaptation of the classic story, Pinocchio comes to life with the TYA adult acting company for two weekends (one in June, and one in July).
