Loaves & Fishes 30th Anniversary Bonfire & Singalong

Angie Miller and the late Steve O’Neil founded Loaves & Fishes in 1989. With the help of a small group of volunteers and donors, they purchased a single family home in Duluth’s Endion neighborhood, moved in with their two young children, and opened the doors to war refugees, survivors of domestic violence and people experiencing homelessness. In the years that followed, their vision took root and the community grew to four houses on Jefferson Street, a bike shop and generous community gardens, and Loaves & Fishes volunteers have taken a prominent role in advocating locally and nationally for affordable housing, equality and nonviolence. Loaves & Fishes is operated entirely by volunteers and supported through small donations from many individuals.
