Fashion Tips – This Season’s Hair Dos and Don’ts

In fashion, it’s not all about what to wear – you also have to have to have good style when it comes to your hair. From your head to your toes, it ALL has to go together seamlessly because your whole “look” is very important. And holy guacamole have I seen some bad hair-dos in this town. But, as always, I’m here to help steer you in the right direction.

Ladies – The pageboy hair cut is a great style if you want a shorter hair cut that’s still sleek and cute. A longer sleek cut that you can do is blunt ends with hair at all one length. This is another great style because plain hair accents the great features of your face and outfit. Straight and symmetrical really is the way to go this year. You want to take the attention away from your hair. This makes your hairstyle work well with any outfit you choose. You could also go with a fringe for fall. Framing your face will go great with fall attire. If you’re looking to color your hair, bright blonde colors are in as well as buttery brunettes. Also, ombre colored hair is all the rage. Whether you’re going from dark to light or light to dark, you can’t go wrong. Natural and unnatural colors are all good for this style. All I can say to those with bad styles – please get rid of the feathered bangs and chunky highlighted hair. Stick to having only one or two colors in your hair and no more.

Gentleman – You don’t have to keep your hair short. Shoulder length hair looks great, as long as it’s well maintained. You can’t go wrong with the classic side part. It looks good on anyone, and it’s easy to style. Another easy cut to style is the undercut. Whether it’s messy or slicked back, both styles work. And if you do plan on having hair longer than your shoulders, go with a topknot. This style does take a lot of work to maintain, but it looks great styled wet or dry. If you have the time and know how to put your hair in a bun, go for it. Also, men, DO NOT highlight your hair or bleach your hair. It doesn’t look good on anyone. It might have been okay 13 years ago but not anymore. And remember to maintain your mane. No one likes an un-groomed mess.
